The client, McInnis Cement, is constructing a state-ofthe-art cement plant in Port-Daniel-Gascons, Quebec. The production estimate is 2,200,000 tons of cement per year. The plant will be adjacent to an estimated deposit of over 350 millions of tons of high-quality limestone. Extensive development work is currently being carried out on the site. The project officially kicked off in March 2014 with initial on-site preparations (including tree removal, along with the access road and marine terminal) such as overseeing the engineering tasks, obtaining the required environmental permits, blasting 200 000m3 of rock and excavating 200 000m3 of earth.For this major industrial project, WSP put together an experienced team with solid expertise in large-scale engineering:
